Luncheon for Littles is a community event celebrating National Child Health Day that will take place on October 2 from 11:00am – 2:00pm at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Fargo, ND.
Children of all ages from the community are creating canvas art that that will be displayed the day of the event. Area chefs are cooking up a variety of signature soups, breads and a dessert. Community members may then purchase tickets (online prior to the day of the event $20 or in-person the day of the event $25), those presenting a ticket will be able to select an art piece, fill up on soup and go home with the art as their keepsake from the event.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Family Voices of ND programming. Family Voices of North Dakota (FVND) is a statewide health information and education center for families whose lives are impacted by their children having special health care needs and or a disability. FVND was started in 1996 as a volunteer organization and has been working as a non-profit, 501c3, since 2001.
One in five ND households in our community has a child with a known disability or a special health care need. Assistance in understanding a child’s health needs, resources available to assist in maintaining the child’s health and understanding health insurance coverage is just a few things Family Voices of ND offers through their programming.
FVND’s role is to assure that families receive informational and emotional support in caring for their child, for policy makers and professionals to understand the current needs of our families being served and providing inclusive community activities.
