Matthew joined the FVND board of directors in 2018. He and his wife Jenny live in Williston with their two children, Graham and Cora. Graham has a rare genetic disorder and Cora is neurotypical, and they’re both pretty great kids.

Matt and Jenny are both alumni of University of North Dakota. They met and married in Grand Forks, lived in Minneapolis while Jenny finished graphic design school, and returned to Williston (Matt’s hometown) in 2009. Matt currently works as a landman, helping to clear up title issues for mineral owners in Western North Dakota, and Jenny is Williston State College’s creative director.

When Graham began receiving services through the Infant Development program as a baby, Matt and Jenny realized how much of a difference the right kind of supports can make for families dealing with developmental delays and disabilities. They attended the Family Voices Parent Leadership Institute, which gave them some new tools and contacts that have helped them become more involved in the early intervention and developmental disability communities. Matt is also the Region I parent representative on the governor’s Interagency Coordinating Council, which advises and assists with early intervention services across the state.
